Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and others on June 3 to discuss the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. Officials said that apart from the Lieutenant Governor, senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs and officials of the Union Territory will attend the meeting. He said that this meeting is taking place regarding the targeted killings of Hindu government employees by terrorists in the Valley and the preparations for the Amarnath Yatra being carried out by the administration. Amarnath Yatra will start from the end of this month.
28 civilians killed so far this year
According to police figures, 28 Hindus have been murdered in the year 2022 so far. At the same time, on Tuesday, terrorists shot and killed a teacher. Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has also held several meetings regarding the increasing terrorism, so that peace can be restored in the valley.

Here, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has said that peace cannot be restored in Kashmir through army and police. He strongly advocated for all political parties to come together to find a way out of the grim situation and said that people want the safety of their families. Abdullah asked the government to be very cautious during the upcoming Amarnath Yatra. He said that if even one untoward incident happens during the Yatra, it will have nationwide consequences.
Migrant Hindus in safe places till June 6
The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday decided to shift the Kashmiri migrants employed under the Prime Minister's Special Package and other employees of Jammu division to safer places in the Valley by June 6 in view of the increasing threat perception in the Valley. The decision comes in the wake of targeted killings of Hindu government employees by terrorists in Kashmir and fears of their exodus from Kashmir. According to PTI-language, the people posted in the Kashmir division, who are from the minority community, will be immediately shifted to safer places. Significantly, after the increasing terrorist activities in the valley, Hindus are protesting against the demand for transfer out of here.
