More than twenty leaders of Jammu and Kashmir joined the Congress in Delhi on Monday. Most of these leaders were earlier members of Ghulam Nabi Azad's Democratic Progressive Azad Party. On Monday, all the leaders joined the Congress in the presence of party chief Mallikarjun Kharge.
At the same time, party leader Jairam Ramesh made a verbal attack on Ghulam Nabi Azad regarding Article 370. He said, 'Ghulam Nabi Azad himself keeps giving evidence of change in his DNA by saying that those opposing the removal of Article 370 are ignorant of the ground situation.'
