The court has acquitted Vairagyanand Giri alias Mirchi Baba, lodged in Bhopal jail, on the charges of rape. The victim party could not prove the allegations. On this basis the court acquitted Mirchi Baba. Mirchi Baba was released from Bhopal's Central Jail after the court's order. He reached the court of Baba Mahakal on Friday. When he was not allowed to visit the sanctum sanctorum in the court of Baba Mahakal, his anger erupted. He had darshan of Baba Mahakal from Nandi Hall. At the same time, shouting and crying out to Baba Mahakal to have mercy on us and change the corrupt Chief Minister from the state.

Vairagyanand Giri alias Mirchi Baba of Niranjani Akhara reached the temple on Friday afternoon to have darshan of Baba Mahakal. Mirchi Baba was not allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum. Judge Samrita Singh Thakur had given the verdict in Bhopal court on Wednesday. Mirchi Baba was accused of raping a childless woman by feeding her a drugged ghost. The prosecution could not prove these allegations. After this the court acquitted Mirchi Baba. A case was registered in the Mahila police station of Bhopal on 8 August 2022. On August 9, 2022, Bhopal police arrested Mirchi Baba from Gwalior. Mirchi Baba was lodged in the Central Jail since his arrest.

Mirchi Baba had performed Havan with five quintals of chillies for the victory of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh in the last Lok Sabha elections. At that time Mirchi Baba had claimed that if Digvijay Singh did not win the election, he would take Jal Samadhi. Digvijay Singh contested the Lok Sabha elections from Bhopal and lost the election to BJP's Sadhvi Pragya Singh. After this Baba went back on his words of water samadhi.

In Nandi Hall, Mirchi Baba said that I talk about making the true Kamal Nath the Chief Minister, that is why I am opposed.
