Operation Sindoor: Ministry of External Affairs completely rejected What Rahul Gandhi said about Jaishankar
Ministry of External Affairs completely rejected Rahul Gandhi’s allegations that India had informed Pakistan before Operation Sindoor.
New Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs on Saturday completely rejected the statements claiming that External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had admitted that India had warned Pakistan before the launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7.
The clarification came after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised the government, saying the Indian side had informed Pakistan before military strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
"The External Publicity (XP) division of the ministry said, "The External Affairs Minister had said that we had warned Pakistan at the very beginning, which is clearly the initial stage after the launch of Operation Sindoor." The division said in a brief statement, "This is being misrepresented. The facts are being completely misrepresented."
"Informing Pakistan at the beginning of our attack was a crime. The External Affairs Minister has publicly admitted that the Government of India did this," Gandhi said in a post on social media. He asked, "Who authorised this? How many aircraft did our Air Force lose as a result of this?''
Gandhi also shared a video of Jaishankar’s interaction with reporters in which he spoke about some aspects of Operation Sindoor and India's attack on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK.
