The meeting of foreign ministers of the member countries of 'Quad' under the leadership of India will be held in New Delhi today. The meeting will be chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa will attend the meeting.

There was a meeting of foreign ministers of The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said in a statement that the meeting to be held today will provide an opportunity to continue the discussions of the previous meeting. Also, views will be exchanged on recent developments in the Indo-Pacific region and regional issues of mutual interest, based on the vision of an open, free and inclusive Indo-Pacific region.

In the meeting, the member countries will review the progress made by the Quad in furthering their constructive agenda and taking into account the contemporary priorities of the region. According to media reports, the current situation in the Indo-Pacific region may be discussed in the meeting against the backdrop of China's increasing aggression.
