Record sales of Naivedyam in Mahavir Mandir, Patna, for the first time

After the Corona period, there has been a huge increase in the number of devotees in the Mahavir temple of Patna. It used to be the most crowded on the first Tuesday. But now on Saturday and Sunday also there is a similar crowd of devotees. Generally, the temple sees maximum crowd in the months of March, April, May and June
Sales more than one lakh kg per month
The sale of Naivedyam is a criterion of the crowd of devotees in the temple. For the first time in the history of the temple, the sale of Naivedyam has exceeded one lakh kg per month. The total sale of Naivedyam here in April was 1,18,946 kg and in the month of May it was 1,16,698 kg.
In the month of June also, sales of more than one lakh kg of naivedyam are estimated. After the Balaji temple of Tirupati, the largest sale of laddus in any temple in the country is in the Mahavir temple and that too from the same center.
Rs 1.5 lakh per day
There has also been an increase in the amount put into the temple offerings. Earlier this amount used to come on the basis of one lakh rupees per day. But in the last two and a half months, a total of Rs 1,12,73,713 has been received, which translates to Rs 1,48,338 per day. This period is such, when the number of devotees is maximum and the sale of laddus is maximum.
Not a single penny has to be spent after deducting the receipt
Most ritualistic worship takes place during this period. In the last two and a half months, a total amount of Rs 96,67,178 has been received in all the items of rituals. In which a fee of Rs 20,68,823 has been received only in Rudrabhishek. In this the material used for worship is also included. Which is given by the temple and is also the Dakshina amount given by the temple to the priests. This is probably the only temple in the country where after deducting the receipt, the devotee does not have to spend a single penny on worship material or dakshina.
One crore rupees as a fee
Mahavir Mandir gives 4 percent of its income to the Bihar State Religious Trust Board as a fee and this time it is expected that if the lockdown is not imposed due to Corona or there is no longer movement, then the Mahavir Mandir will give about one crore to the Bihar State Religious Trust Board.
Sales drop in a few months
In the rainy months, Pitrupaksha, Paush month, Kharmas and on some other occasions, the crowd of devotees in the temple, the sale of laddus and the worshiping all get reduced. Mahavir Mandir inspires the devotees to walk on the path of devotion. Therefore, worship of Hanuman ji should be done with full devotion throughout the year.
Naivedyam is being sold since 1992
The sale of Naivedyam in Mahavir Mandir started from 22 October 1992. In the initial phase, the sales figure averaged around 500 kg per month.
