Three Congress MLAs from Jharkhand (Irfan Ansari, Naman Vixal Kongadi and Rajesh Kachhap) have been detained by the police of rural Howrah in West Bengal with a huge amount of cash and are interrogating them. It is being told that these three Congress MLAs were riding in the same vehicle and were going towards East Midnapore. Late on Saturday evening, his car was stopped near Ranihati Mor under Panchla police station and the vehicle was searched. It is being told that a huge amount of cash was kept in the vehicle. According to the police, the bank officials are being contacted. Counting of cash will be done by counting machine.

Superintendent of Police Swati Bhangalia reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. He told that on the basis of secret information, a special checking operation was conducted at Ranihati Mor. Meanwhile, a vehicle coming from Jamtara in Jharkhand was stopped. There were five people in the car including the driver. In this, three Congress MLAs from Jharkhand Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Vixal Kongadi were involved. A huge amount of cash has been recovered during this period. They are being taken into custody and interrogated.

Superintendent of Police Swati Bhangalia said that unaccounted cash was found inside the vehicle. He said that it is not possible to tell how much cash is there at the moment. Bank officials are being contacted. Counting of cash will be done by counting machine. He said that the MLAs are being questioned. Jamtara MLA's board was installed on the car. The police is investigating the matter.
