Standing next to Kirk's empty chair on a streaming channel for her husband's organization, Turning Point USA, which promotes conservative ideas among young people, Erika Kirk addressed her husband's murder. "They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and the merciful love of God," she said, in a speech in which she highlighted the value of a traditional family, faith in God, and patriotic sentiment for the United States as her husband's fundamental pillars. “Charlie said if he ever ran [for president], his top priority would be to revitalize the American family. That was his priority,” Erika said of her husband, whom she called a “perfect” father.
“Charlie loved his children. And he loved me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that every day.”
“Charlie loved life."He loved his life. He loved America," she added.
After thanking the law enforcement officers and paramedics who fought to save Charles's life, Erika acknowledged President Donald Trump and his family for their support after the shooting.
"Mr. President, my husband loved you. And he knew you loved him too. The friendship you two had was incredible. You were so supportive of him, and he was so supportive of you,” she said.
In an emotionally charged speech, filled with tears and a changing tone of voice, while a crucifix hung around her neck, Erika Kirk made numerous references to her faith in God.
“May Charlie be welcomed into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior,” she said, quoting a Bible verse.

“He never gave up. One of his mottos was: never give up. So I want to say that we will never give up,” Kirk’s wife concluded with a defiant tone, assuring that her husband’s ideology will continue to expand.
“In a world full of chaos, doubt and uncertainty, my husband’s voice will remain alive.”
