Trump to journalist: 'Silence, silence, pig'
The Republican president sparks controversy by insulting a Bloomberg journalist who questioned him about the Jeffrey Epstein files
President Donald Trump has been involved in several confrontations with journalists who question him about investigations against him, his policies, or recently, the Jeffrey Epstein case.
The president is also known for hurling insults at journalists who persist in questioning him, as recently occurred on a flight on the 14th November.
Bloomberg journalist Jennifer Jacobs pressed the president on whether there was anything “incriminating” in Epstein’s files, but Trump looked at her, pointed his right index finger at her and said: “Shut up, hush, piggy.” Then, the Republican gave the floor to another journalist. This occurred after it was revealed that the files, released by the House Oversight Committee, mention Trump several times, but do not allege any criminal involvement, at least in the information provided. Now Trump claims to support a resolution, signed by 218 members of Congress, to compel the Justice Department to make all the information public. In the released emails, Michael Wolff, who has written about Trump, received an email from Epstein indicating that Trump knew about the young trafficking victims. “Of course I knew about the girls,” Epstein said about how he and Ghislaine Maxwell, his former partner, used Mar-a-Lago to search for potential trafficking victims. “When he asked Ghislaine to stop.”
Days after the emails were published, Trump insisted to the press that he knew nothing about it.
“I don’t know anything about that. They would have announced it a long time ago,” Trump stated. “Jeffrey Epstein and I had a very bad relationship for many years.”
The Bloomberg journalist questioned Trump about it, and that's when the president insulted her.
Trump has insulted other women, and according to People magazine, the president has used the expression “piggy” on other occasions, as he did with former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.
