Las Chivas de Guadalajara have not had a regular start this season. Gabriel Milito's process is beginning within the club, but the results have not been very positive. Despite this, Andre Jardine supported the Argentine coach.

El Rebano Sagrado is in second-to-last place in the Mexican soccer standings. After four matches, Chivas have struggled to get back on track at the start of the 2025 Apertura tournament.

Andre Jardine isn't confident in El Rebano Sagrado's results. The Aguilas del America coach believes Chivas haven't been able to achieve in numbers what they have demonstrated on the field. Jardine believes his rival's improvement is noticeable.

"Chivas' results are misleading. I see Chivas gaining form, but results sometimes, when you look at the short term, can work or they can't. In this case, they come with important defeats... I see Chivas acquiring a game plan and methods that are quite interesting, and if they start to have results soon, I wouldn't be surprised," Jardine told Fox Sports.

The Liga MX Clasico between Club America and Chivas de Guadalajara is already in sight. Andre Jardine is not complacent and warns that Gabriel Milito's team will not be an easy opponent. The match between the two teams will take place on September 14 at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes.

“I’m keeping a close eye on this Chivas team and this coach. I think they’re going to be a tough opponent later on in La Liga, and I imagine El Clasico is going to be very tough,” he added.

Gabriel Milito’s time in Mexico

In May 2025, Gabriel Milito was announced as the new coach of Chivas de Guadalajara. To date, the Argentine coach has coached seven matches for the club. Milito has recorded three wins and four losses.

However, in the Liga MX, Chivas de Guadalajara have only managed one victory.The Sacred Flock's only victory was against Atletico San Luis in an attractive 4-3 at Akron Stadium.
