India stormed into the semi-finals of the Men's Hockey 5S World Cup Qualifier after thrashing Japan 35-1. Earlier, Malaysia was defeated 7-5. After two wins on Thursday, India topped the pool table with 12 points. The semi-final matches will be played on Saturday. In the match against Japan, Maninder scored ten goals while Mohammad Rahil scored seven, Pawan Rajbhar and Gurjot Singh scored five goals each. Sukhwinder scored four goals, captain Mandeep Mor scored three goals while Jugraj Singh scored one goal. Masataka scored Japan's only goal. Earlier, against Malaysia, Gurjot scored five goals while Maninder Singh and Mohammad Rahil scored one goal each.
