"Today we say goodbye to a legend of our Cruz Azul Football Club, who defended our colors as a right back in that legendary championship that gave us promotion to the top circuit. Rest in peace, Roberto Reynoso," said the director.
One of Reynoso's milestones
Roberto Reynoso will be remembered for being part of the Cruz Azul squad that achieved promotion to the first division of Mexican soccer in 1964. An unforgettable 7-1 victory over Zamora in which full-back Reynoso participated.
Reynoso shared the club's principles. He was part of a working-class team that combined their talent for soccer with their work at the Cruz Azul cement factory in Jasso, Hidalgo. Roberto Reynoso was one of the players who laid the foundation for what is now "La Máquina."
