Juanito Adams was interviewed for the South African network eNCA. Jayden's father assured that he will have difficulties moving on with his life after the sensitive loss of his son.
"As everyone knows, it was a premature death. The family is having a hard time coming to terms with it. It won't be easy to move on. People say (that with time) it gets easier, but it's not true. You just learn to live with it," Juanito said.
After this sad news became known, multiple sports personalities dedicated some words to him. During the 2026 World Cup matches, a minute of silence was observed in honor of the South African national team footballer.
"We can see the love that the world had for Jayden. It's really touching," Jayden's father added in the interview.
Aiden Johnson, the footballer's cousin, described Jayden's role in his family circle. Aiden described his cousin as a fundamental pillar of the family who looked out for everyone's well-being.
"There are no words that describe Jayden as a person, he was a pillar for all of us, from when he was a child until the last day. He always made sure everyone was okay; he looked for how he could help. There is nothing that can ever replace what he meant to me," he recalled.
Unknowns about Jayden's death
Until now, official reports explain that the Western Cape Police (SAPS) found the lifeless body of Jayden Adams at a property on Military Road, Schotsche Kloof. Although there are versions that speak of the footballer going through depression, there is no official confirmation of this.
The South African Football Players' Union (SAFPU) was the first to confirm the death of Jayden Adams. This entity asked for respect for the privacy of the footballer's relatives in the midst of this context. The case remains under investigation by local authorities.
