Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua are reportedly close to agreeing to a heavyweight fight in December that would be streamed on Netflix, according to Ringer Magazine.
Paul would agree to fight the former heavyweight champion after his exhibition with Gervonta Davis was canceled.
According to reports, Most Valuable Promotions, Jake Paul's promoter, canceled after a civil lawsuit was filed against Gervonta Davi in ??Miami-Dade County at the end of October.
The fight was scheduled for November 14. Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of MVP, stated in a press release that Paul will headline another event to be streamed on Netflix later this year, with details regarding the opponent, date, and location to be provided once finalized.
When was the last time Anthony Joshua fought?
Anthony Joshua hasn't fought since November 2014 when he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title.
Dubois knocked Joshua down in the first round and secured the knockout in the fifth to take the IBF title.
The fighters faced off at Wembley Stadium in London before a record crowd of 96,000.
Jake Paul last fought in June of this year when he faced Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The American won the fight by unanimous decision, winning on the scorecards. 99-91, 97-93, and 98-92 at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
This was his first fight since his bout with Mike Tyson, which was streamed on Netflix.
Paul, who rose to fame as a YouTube social media star and became a boxer, now has a six-fight winning streak and a record of 12-1 with seven knockouts (KOs).
