The Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez Jr. will continue with his professional activity during the second half of the current year with the aim of getting closer to an opportunity for a world championship.

The former world champion confirmed that his return to the ring is already scheduled for next September, which will represent his third presentation so far this year.

The formal announcement of this commitment was announced through digital platforms.

In a video that was published on the Instagram account of augustohernandez244, the boxer was observed in the facilities of an airport, where he was questioned about the exact day of his return to the ensogado.

When asked directly, the Sinaloan responded that the date set for his return will be “September 19.”

Despite the confirmation of the day of the event, the boxer's team has not yet detailed the venue or the name of the opponent for this commitment.

However, there are previous indications that suggest that the state of Puebla could host the function, according to statements offered by the athlete himself during an exhibition card held in said entity a few months ago.

The goal in the cruiserweight division

Julio César Chávez Jr.'s intention is to remain active in the 200-pound category to seek a world championship fight before the definitive closure of his professional career.

Consolidated champions such as Noel Mikaelian and also the current holder of the crowns of the World Boxing Organization and the World Boxing Association compete in this weight, with whom the Sinaloan does not rule out facing off in the future.
