Rayados officializes Dennis te Kloese as sports president; already works in new DT for Monterrey
The Dutch manager will lead the restructuring of Rayados and will have as a priority choosing coach for the Apertura 2026
Rayados de Monterrey already has a new sports leader. The regiomontano club confirmed this Thursday the arrival of Dennis te Kloese as new president sports entity facing the Apertura 2026, movement that marks the beginning of a deep restructuring after the departure of José Antonio Noriega.
The board of Monterrey is betting on the international experience of the Dutch leader to return the team to the foregrounds of Mexican football after the failure in the current tournament.
Rayados confirms Dennis te Kloese as sports president
Through an official statement, the albiazul group announced the appointment of Te Kloese, who will assume the vacant position left by ‘Tato’ Noriega.
“The decision is part of the process to strengthen the sports structure and consolidate the long-term vision, in alignment with the demands of our Club and the expectations of our Fans”, it mentioned.
The new sports president will work with Walter Erviti, recently appointed as sports director, in a new stage for the Montana institution.
Te Kloese's priority in Rayados: choosing new coach
One of the first challenges for Dennis te Kloese will be defining the new technical director of Rayados, amid a list of candidates with experience and titles in Mexican football.
Among the options analyzed by the board are two high-profile names: Antonio Mohamed, current coach of Toluca and old-acquaintance from Monterrey, as well as Matías Almeyda, Argentine strategist who is currently without a team.
The management is looking for a coach capable of competing immediately in both the MX Liga and in the Cup Leagues, key tournaments for the next semester.
Walter Erviti and Te Kloese lead the restructuring of Monterrey
According to information from the club, Te Kloese already maintains constant communication with Sebastián Luri, advisor to the presidency of the administrative council, in addition to coordinating directly with Walter Erviti.
The intention of the Rayados leadership is to accelerate the internal changes and launch a new sports project that allows to take advantage of the potential of one of the most expensive teams in Mexican football.

The arrival of Dennis te Kloese represents a strong bet by the regiomontana board to recover stability and results after a campaign marked by pressure and criticism.
“With this incorporation, Rayados reaffirms its commitment to having a management structure focused on fighting for the maximum sports goals and proudly representing our Fans,” the statement reads.
With a new sports president, possible changes on the bench and an internal restructuring underway, Monterrey is seeking to start a new stage heading to Apertura 2026 with the obligation to return to compete for titles.
