Chivers defined an era with Spurs, establishing himself as one of the club's greatest attacking figures during the 1960s and 70s, in both domestic and international competitions.

During his time at Tottenham Hotspur, Martin Chivers played 367 official matches between 1968 and 1976, scoring 174 goals, figures that place him among the club's all-time top scorers.
With the North London club, the English striker won two League Cups and a UEFA Cup, delivering memorable performances in European competitions and becoming a fan favorite.
The club expressed Tottenham expressed their condolences in a heartfelt message: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our legendary striker, Martin Chivers.
