India's wait of 40 days is finally over. After traveling 3.84 lakh kilometers from Earth to the Moon, Chandrayaan-3's lander Vikram successfully landed on the lunar surface. With this, India has become the third country in the world after Russia, America, and China to make a soft landing on the moon. At the same time, it has become the first country in the world to make a soft landing on the south pole of the Moon.

Now the eyes are on the Pragyan rover, which will run on the lunar surface after the conditions become normal. The symbol of ISRO is engraved on one wheel and the Ashoka pillar is engraved on the other wheel. As soon as the Pragyan rover starts moving, the logo of ISRO and the Ashoka Pillar will be inscribed on the lunar surface.

The lander module of Chandrayaan-3 shows the complete configuration of the lander. In this, the weight of the rover is 26 kg. The rover is similar to the Vikram rover of Chandrayaan-2. Senior scientist Dr. Sanjeev Sahajpal says that according to the plan, Chandrayaan's soft landing will happen on the moon between 23 and 24 August. According to the plan of ISRO scientists, with the soft landing, the lander and rover will start their work on the lunar surface. Along with the lander, the rover landing on the lunar surface with its wheeled equipment will start giving complete information about the surface there to the scientists of ISRO.

According to scientists, the information that ISRO will get from Rover and Lander after soft landing will be only for 14 days. He says that the information received from the rover is considered very important because it keeps moving forward on the surface of the moon.

Scientists say that within 14 days, the rover will not only complete its fixed path on the moon, but will also keep sending its complete information to ISRO's data center. Sanjeev Sahajpal says that information and complete technical information will continue to be received not only through the rover but also through the lander. He explains that the lander and rover will send us information with full activity for 14 days. He says that the power backup capacity of the lander and rover prepared for all adverse conditions is the highest for 14 days. After that the notifications will either stop getting or their speed will be negligible. However, space scientists believe that the information received within 14 days will be the most important information about all the possibilities to be done on the moon in space.

According to ISRO officials, the Chandrayaan-3 mission is the next phase of Chandrayaan-2, which will land on the lunar surface and conduct tests. It looks similar to Chandrayaan-2, in which a lander and a rover have been included. Chandrayaan-3's focus remained on making a safe landing on the lunar surface. New equipment has been created for the success of the mission. The algorithms have been improved. The reasons for which the Chandrayaan-2 mission could not land on the lunar surface have been focused on.

The mission took off from Sriharikota Center on July 14 at 2:35 pm and landed on the Moon today as planned. This mission made India the fourth country in the world after the US, Russia and China to perform a soft landing on the Moon.
