According to a report by Spaceweather.com, SpaceX launched the Falcon 9 rocket on July 19 from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This rocket is currently the world's most reliable and frequently used rocket. Falcon-9 has done 240 launches and 198 landings.
Red light seen in pictures
A faint red light is visible in the recent launch pictures. It was studied by space physicist Jeff Baumgardner of Boston University. He told that a hole in the ionosphere has been detected from this light.

Baumgardner said this is most likely to happen when rockets burn their engines 200 to 300 kilometers above Earth's surface. It is seen that this has happened due to burning of the engine of the second stage. The ionosphere at the edge of space is filled with particles called ions. The ionosphere is of great importance because it modifies radio waves used in communication and navigation. GPS services can be affected due to a hole in it.
Events have happened before
Rockets sent into space are expected to increase the damage to the ionosphere. This can have a negative impact on the GPS service. Let me tell you, this is not the first time that something like this has happened on the launch of this rocket. This type of incident has happened before also. Falcon-9 was launched from Vanderburg Space Force Base on 24 August 2017 carrying the FORMOSAT-5 payload. Because of the low mass, the Falcon-9 was launched along a vertical trajectory rather than parallel to the Earth's surface. This created a shockwave, due to which a crater was formed in the plasma of the ionosphere. Such an incident happened on June 19 last year when the Falcon-9 rocket was launched.
Humans develop more powerful rockets
Charles CH Lin of National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan says humans are entering an era where rocket launches are becoming more frequent because of the low cost of reusable rockets. He further said that not only this man is developing more powerful rockets to go to other planets. These two factors will gradually affect more of the middle and upper atmosphere. He said that for this reason private space companies need to be more careful in launching their rockets.
