Speedtest revealed which is the fastest internet supplier in the US in 2025
The most recent Speedtest report revealed which companies have the best internet connection speeds in the entire country.
When it comes to internet speed in the United States, the fight between the big providers is more alive than ever. The performance gaps have become increasingly noticeable, and users are feeling it on a daily basis: more stable video calls, downloads in seconds, and seamless streaming. But among so many well-known names like Xfinity, Verizon, and T-Mobile, there was one that stood out from the rest in the most recent tests.
According to Ookla's semi-annual analysis based on millions of real-world speed tests, one provider in particular managed to stand out due to its consistency, fast download speeds, and excellent upload performance. While it wasn't a landslide victory in every region, its results put it at the top of the national rankings for fixed internet.
Furthermore, customers also rewarded it with good satisfaction levels, reflecting not only a good connection, but also a complete experience ranging from installation to technical support.
Different regions, different winners
Other names like Frontier Fiber and Cox also appeared on the list of the fastest, although with a smaller presence. Even so, it's clear that the commitment to fiber optics is shaping the future of fixed internet, increasingly displacing providers that haven't updated their infrastructure.
In this context, users have more options, but they should also pay close attention to what type of connection they sign up for. Not everything advertised as “high speed” delivers on its promise, and that’s where studies like Ookla’s help clarify the situation.
And the interesting thing is that this division doesn't seem to change anytime soon. With more investments announced by both companies, everything indicates that users will continue to see improvements in speed and coverage, regardless of whether they are at home or on the go.
