Trump assures that he has already found a buyer for the social network TikTok
The US president did not reveal the name of the potential buyer and limited himself to saying that it is a very rich large technology company

US President Donald Trump assured this Sunday that he has already found a buyer for TikTok, a necessary step to allow the platform to continue operating in the United States.
"We have a buyer for TikTok. We will probably need approval from China," he said on the Sunday Morning Futures program on Fox News.
The Republican leader did not reveal the name and simply said that it is a “very rich” technology giant that will be announced in “two weeks.” Under Democrat Joe Biden (2021-2025), the previous Congress passed a law requiring TikTok to divest from its parent company, China's Byte Dance, and find an investor from a country that was not considered a national “adversary” before January 20, when Trump took office. After failing to reach an agreement, the app shut down for a few hours in the United States until the Republican, on his first day back at the White House, signed an executive order granting an initial 75-day extension. On April 4, Trump granted TikTok an additional 75-day extension that would have ended on June 19, but that same day the Republican leader extended the date for another 90 days, until September 17. The president He had previously stated that he has a soft spot for TikTok, insisting that the platform contributed to his victory in last November's election by boosting his approval ratings among young people.
