ICE agents must identify themselves in raids, according to mayor of Huntington Park
Mayor Arturo Flores called immigration arrests “masked kidnappings” and demanded that federal ICE agents be identified.
Huntington Park Mayor Arturo Flores ordered the police department to enforce that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents self-identify while carrying out operations in this city in Los Angeles County.
Flores issued the instruction this Saturday in a statement, in which he condemned what he called "masked kidnappings" amid raids against undocumented immigrants by federal agencies with unidentified agents and their faces covered.
"We cannot allow Wild West-style bounty hunting tactics to run rampant on our streets," the Huntington Park mayor said in the statement.
