Israeli fighter killed in retaliation
The military source says that at around 2.20 a.m. on Monday, Israel launched airstrikes from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, targeting some points around the city of Damascus. Syrian air defense forces retaliated by killing Israeli soldiers.
Israel has done hundreds of attacks
Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years. Despite all this, Israel never takes responsibility for these attacks, nor does it discuss them. However, Israel has acknowledged that it targets targets of Iran-allied militant groups such as Lebanon's Hezbollah, which has sent thousands of fighters to support Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces.
