Community Success: Immigration Raid Stopped in Los Angeles
Federal immigration agents attempted to force their way into a barbershop in Lynwood; workers and community members avoided any arrests
Community members stopped an operation that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents attempted to carry out on Thursday, August 21, at a Los Angeles barbershop.
ICE agents attempted to force their way into the Presidential Barber Shop in the Lynwood area, but were not allowed to do so by neighborhood residents or the business's own employees.
Witnesses said immigration officers were looking for someone inside the establishment, although it was unclear whether it was an employee or a customer.
