US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday announced more than $2 billion in new military aid for Russia-threatening Ukraine and other European countries. Blinken said the Biden administration will provide two billion dollars in long-term foreign military aid to Ukraine and its 18 neighbors, including NATO members and regional security partners who are in the most likely risk zones for future Russian aggression.  

Ukraine has already received $675 million in aid 

, in addition to the $675 million package for heavy weapons, ammunition and armored vehicles given to Ukraine alone, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced Thursday in Germany. Did it in a conference. This package includes Howitzer, Artillery Munition, Humavis, Armed Ambulance, Anti Tank System. Austin said the war was at another critical juncture, with Ukrainian forces launching their counter-offensive in the south of the country. Austin told a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Liaison Group that the face of the war was changing and so was the mission of this liaison group. The meeting was attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the Defense Minister of Ukraine as well as officials from allied countries. With the new aid since Biden took office, the total US aid to Ukraine has risen to $15.2 billion. US officials said the new commitments are intended to show that US support for the country is unwavering in the face of Russia's aggression.

The fight between Ukraine and Russia intensified 

The fighting between Ukraine and Russia has intensified in recent days. Ukraine's military has launched a retaliatory strike to retake Russian-occupied areas in the south and east. Shelling continues near Ukraine's Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. On Wednesday, the US accused Moscow of interrogating, detaining and forcibly deporting hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to Russia. However, Russian officials immediately dismissed this claim.
