Camilo shares his greatest learning in fatherhood: 'The most valuable is the most fragile'
The Colombian singer shared a moving reflection on fatherhood with his wife Evaluna
What a moment of reflection the couple Camilo and Evaluna Montaner had when they spoke like never before about the lessons and most challenging aspects that fatherhood has brought. What did they say? Here are the details.
In a heartfelt conversation documented on YouTube for their “Christmas Novena” series, the performers of songs like “Vida de Rico” and “Tutu” shared their thoughts on the vulnerability that comes with being parents.
“Seeing our daughters reminds us of it every day: the most valuable thing is, at the same time, the most fragile. And that’s not a mistake. It’s part of everything… Nothing truly great starts out big. Everything is born small. Needing care. Hugs. Time,” the Colombian singer described during the video.
Camilo elaborated on his position, arguing that rather than giving this word a negative connotation, they focus on the lessons it brings.
“Vulnerability isn’t a mistake; it’s part of the whole picture. And now that I’m a dad, I understand it deeply because my daughters are, at the same time, the most valuable thing I have and the most fragile thing I have,” the famous singer affirmed.
And although embracing this vulnerability isn't easy for him, the holiday season offers a new perspective on this reality, as it's a time of tranquility and total focus on his family.
“Sometimes I want to skip that part, I mean, I want to go directly from zero to the strong version of myself, to the result, to the finished version, to perfection… Without going through everything in between, without experiencing vulnerability and humility,” he said. “And Christmas reminds me of that, that truly valuable things are born small,” he added.
To conclude, the artist Camilo reiterated: “Ideas are born vulnerable, dreams are born vulnerable, relationships are born vulnerable. Nothing great starts out being great.”
