Hispanic man arrested for running a dog fighting ring in Los Angeles

A Hispanic man was arrested as a suspect in running a dog fighting ring and illegal possession of firearms at his home in Hacienda Heights, Los Angeles.
In a press release, the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California It was reported that Raymond Nunez, 53, is accused of illegally exhibiting, breeding, and training animals for dog fighting at his home from at least December 2025 through February 2026. Prosecutors also reported that Nunez possessed firearms, which he was legally prohibited from doing after a 1991 felony conviction in Los Angeles Superior Court for unlawful taking of a vehicle.
