The Israeli Army confirmed the death of Raed Saad, “head of the weapons production headquarters of Hamas's military wing,” in a drone strike on Gaza City, which killed at least five people.
“Today, December 13, 2025, the Army and the Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet) attacked and killed Raed Saad, the head of the weapons production facility of Hamas's armed wing and one of the architects of the October 7 (2023) massacre," a military statement said. According to casual statistics from Gazan hospitals, published by local journalists stationed at the morgues, five people lost their lives in the attack. Drone strike: Israel bombed the vehicle in which Saad was traveling with a drone near the Nablus junction (southwest of Gaza City) on Rashid Road, which runs north-south through Gaza parallel to the coast. “Saad was one of the last high-ranking veteran officials in the Gaza Strip and was associated with Marwan Issa, deputy head of Hamas's armed wing (the Al-Qassam Brigades),” the army continued. Furthermore, the Army asserts that Saad participated in the development of the operation known as “Walls of Jericho,” which contained a plan similar to the attack of October 7, 2023, that the armed forces dismissed at the time.
