Since the rise in inflation in 2022, many households have been affected by the high cost of living. Low-income or low-resource families are reducing their monthly budgets to make ends meet.

For that reason, some entities have promoted social programs or refunds in order to help economically to these families who have been affected by high inflation.

Among these states is New York, which, according to Governor Kathy Hochul, will continue sending refund checks for amounts up to $400 during the month of November.

These refunds are for inflation. “Every dollar counts. We know that many families are still struggling to cover basic expenses, and that is why we continue to take action,” Hochul stated.
