Xiaomi updates its SU7 EV with up to 902 km of range
Xiaomi has begun pre-sales of the updated version of its SU7 electric sedan for 2026, with significant improvements in range, technology, and fast charging
The electric car market in China—one of the most competitive arenas in the world—sees Xiaomi raise the stakes with its updated SU7 electric sedan for 2026.
Unlike many local brands that lower prices to attract customers, Xiaomi has slightly increased its prices while simultaneously strengthening the equipment and technology of its vehicle.
The new SU7 range has officially opened for pre-orders with deliveries expected in April 2026 in China, and offers a maximum range of 902 km in the Pro version, a significant leap compared to the previous model.
Prices and versions: a moderate increase, more value
Prices for the new SU7 range have increased compared to the previous model, although they remain competitive against alternatives such as the Tesla Model 3.
The increase is due to the incorporation of technological equipment and structural improvements, which Xiaomi considers essential to maintain the product's appeal.
Improved technology and performance
Although at first glance the updated SU7 might seem like a simple aesthetic evolution, most of its new features are under the hood:
Thanks to these updates, all versions show a better balance between performance, efficiency, and range.
Outstanding Range and Fast Charging
Range is one of the main focuses of this update:
Furthermore, due to improvements in the high-voltage electronics, Xiaomi claims that the SU7 can recover up to 670 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging under optimal station conditions.
This increase in range—especially in the Pro version—places the SU7 among the electric vehicles with the longest range in the sedan segment within the current Chinese market.
