A Hispanic woman in a wheelchair died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on the evening of January 9 in the city of Santa Ana, in Orange County.
On Monday, Sergeant Gerard McCann of the Orange County Sheriff's Department identified the woman as 55-year-old Sabrina Michelle Duran.
In a statement on social media, the Santa Ana Police Department reported that the hit-and-run occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North Grand Avenue, where officers responded after receiving reports of the incident.
