The body found during the search for Camila Mendoza Olmos, who disappeared after leaving her home in Texas on Christmas Eve morning, has been identified as that of the missing teenager.

Salazar added during Tuesday's press conference that foul play was not suspected.
“From what we've been told, it appears to be a young woman who was going through a very difficult time in her life, with emotional issues,” he continued, noting that while she had never received a formal diagnosis, she did exhibit some “signs of depression.”

Investigators have said they believe she left the house on foot, with only her car keys and possibly her driver's license, ABC News reported.
Olmos's mother, Rosario, told local news outlet KENS that she and her daughter were asleep when she felt her daughter get out of bed. She told the outlet that 90 minutes later, upon waking, she discovered her daughter was missing.
However, the teen's car was still parked at the family home, and she found Olmos's phone on the bed.
