Carolina Sandoval defends her natural hair and responds to criticism for looking like her daughter
Due to her physical change, Carolina Sandoval has also received different criticisms about her body
Venezuelan presenter Carolina Sandoval hesitated to respond to those who accuse her of imitating the style of her daughter, Bárbara Camila, after showing off her natural curly hair during her vacation in Spain. With a look similar to her 21-year-old daughter's, an influencer, Sandoval asserted her right to wear her hair however she pleases.
In an Instagram video, the co-host of 'Siéntese quien puede' responded with humor and irony to comments claiming she's trying to look like her firstborn. "Does Barbarita look like me or do I look like her?" she wrote alongside the post, making it clear that she's not bothered by other people's opinions.
Some users even went so far as to suggest that Sandoval, 51, was competing with her daughter. "You want to compete with your daughter, now your hair is just like hers," wrote one follower.
In response, the Venezuelan clarified: "The fact that I'm styling my hair like this has nothing to do with wanting to look like Barbara," and added with her characteristic frankness: "I have no filter."
Accepting Her Natural Hair
Sandoval confessed that for years she had a complicated relationship with her curly hair: "It was complex for me: dealing with it, assimilating it." However, she has now decided to leave the extensions behind and wear her natural hair with pride. "Whether I look like a Barbie or not is a value judgment," she affirmed.
She also joked about the rumors that she's trying to look younger: "Did you know that Barbara is my daughter? Did you know that the chicken came before the egg?" With this attitude, she made it clear that criticism doesn't affect her and that the most important thing is to "feel happy" with herself.
Sandoval demonstrated once again that authenticity and self-confidence are her best response to any controversy.
