Sophie Turner overwhelming response to criticism for going out with their friends
Sophie Turner, 29, used social media to defend herself against people who accuse her of abandoning her daughters
Sophie Turner is back, and she hasn't wasted any time responding to her critics. The 29-year-old actress, known for her role in 'Game of Thrones', used her social media to defend her right to have fun with friends.
It all started when Sophie posted a carousel of photos and videos from an unforgettable night at an Oasis concert. While many of her followers celebrated her happiness, some were quick to leave negative comments, reminding her that she is the mother of two young daughters, Willa and Delphine, ages 4 and 2, from her marriage to singer Joe Jonas.
“lmfao I think she forgot she has two daughters,” was one of the comments that caught her attention and to which she decided to respond forcefully.
“Oh I'm so sorry, sometimes I forget that some people can't think for themselves,” Sophie wrote. "So... Get this... There's this crazy thing called joint custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day."
Her direct, unfiltered response not only served to silence the haters, but also highlighted a common reality in divorced families. Since Sophie and Joe finalized their divorce almost a year ago, they've shared custody of their daughters, meaning the time they spend with each parent is planned and agreed upon.
In fact, earlier this summer, Joe Jonas also had words of praise for Sophie on a podcast, showing that despite the end of their relationship, they both maintain mutual respect and prioritize their daughters' well-being.
Thus, Sophie Turner reminds us that being a mother doesn't mean sacrificing your social life, and that the time a person dedicates to their personal well-being doesn't deny their love for their children.
