Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal had received death threats on social media and Mumbai Police swung into action after the actor's complaint. Mumbai Police had also registered a case against that unknown person and eventually arrested the person. Now that person has been identified as Manvinder Singh who is a struggling actor. Now a Mumbai court on Tuesday sent Manvinder Singh to police custody till July 28.

According to the Times of India report, on Tuesday, a Mumbai court sent Manvinder Singh to police custody till July 28. He is reportedly a struggling actor and a huge fan of Katrina Kaif. He apparently wanted to marry the actress and used to post his photoshopped picture with Katrina on social media.

According to the report, he had been following Katrina for the past few months and was harassing her on social media. Since then he started threatening to kill the Namastey London actress and her husband Vicky Kaushal. Vicky Kaushal had filed a police complaint against Singh on Monday, stating that Manvinder Singh had threatened him and his wife on Instagram.

Based on Vicky Kaushal's complaint, the Santacruz police had registered an FIR against the unidentified person under sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking) of the Indian Penal Code. In this regard, the officer informed that no arrest has been made so far. However, the police arrested Manvinder Singh from Malad on the same day and produced him in a Bandra court earlier today.

On the work front, Katrina Kaif will be seen in Phone Bhoot alongside actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. He also has Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi and Tiger 3 with Salman Khan. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal will be seen in a comedy film with Manushi Chhillar, Govinda Naam Mera and Sam Bahadur.
