Belinda revealed her new look for the series Carlota
The artist said goodbye to her iconic blonde hair to immerse herself in her new project in Madrid, where she will bring to life the last empress of Mexico
Belinda once again demonstrated that her commitment to art knows no bounds. Currently based in Spain, the singer and actress shared with her followers the first images of her transformation for the series Carlota, one of the most ambitious productions of her career and a project that, in her own words, she had been waiting for for more than two years. Through her social media, Belinda revealed her new hair color: a deep brown with natural waves, moving away from the blonde that has been her signature for years. “I promised myself I wasn't going to change my hair color again for a long time, but Carlota came along and changed everything,” confessed the artist, who also admitted to feeling some nostalgia at temporarily saying goodbye to her usual look. The series focuses on the life of Carlota of Mexico, the country's last empress and wife of Maximilian of Habsburg. To achieve an authentic performance, Belinda has not only changed her appearance, but has also immersed herself in in-depth readings about the history of the Second Mexican Empire. It is expected that on screen she will sport period hairstyles, including the classic updos and ringlets that characterized the monarch in the 19th century. Despite being focused on filming in Madrid, success continues to accompany the "Princess of Latin Pop" in the music world. Recently, Belinda thanked everyone from Spain for winning the 2026 TikTok Award for Best Song for her track "La Cuadrada," a collaboration with Tito Double P. With this change of image and country, Belinda begins a new professional stage that promises to solidify her as one of the most versatile actresses of her generation.
