Singer Chappell Roan responded without hesitation to the wave of criticism she received after walking the red carpet at the 2016 Grammys wearing a piece that caused controversy due to its sheer design.

Upfront and accompanied by a brief message, the performer of “Pink Pony” The singer, known for her roles in "Club" and "Casual," shared some images of her time at the prestigious music event, addressing the negative comments she received about her outfit, courtesy of the Mugler fashion house. The daring wine-colored garment was made of a semi-transparent material that left her figure exposed at the top. Openings at the front and back of the dress allowed the singer to showcase a pair of henna-like tattoo-like designs. These consisted of: a drawing of a pony on the chest and a large lace-like design on the back, both courtesy of artist Jenny Collins, known as Puppy Puppy Playtime.

In addition, the outfit was held in place by glittery appliques that mimicked piercings embedded in the skin, in the bust area.

This last detail provoked mixed reactions during the broadcast and ignited a debate on social media, which Chappell put an end to with some forceful words from her Instagram account.
