Henry Cavill Breaks the Silence on the Injury He Suffered Prior to Filming “Highlander”

British actor Henry Cavill surprised more than one with his return to social media after making headlines for the injury he suffered at the beginning of September. What is his current health status? We tell you what we know.
Through his Instagram account, the star of "Superman" shared a carousel of images with which he finally clarified the nature of his injury and showed that he is currently recovering at home.
The first of the postcards shows Henry Cavill next to his pet Baggins in a fun selfie, while in another we can see his bandaged ankle, resting on a special pad from the privacy of his home.
Along with these images, the Hollywood heartthrob placed the poem Invictus, by the English writer William Ernest Henley. This manifesto has become a symbol of resistance in the face of adversity, as its final lines emphasize: “I am the master of my destiny: I am the captain of my soul.”
“From the night that covers me, black as the abyss from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul,” read the first verses placed by the actor.
With these verses, Henry Cavill lets his fans know that he takes this injury as an opportunity for growth and a lesson in strength on an emotional level: “In the clutches of circumstances I have not flinched nor have I screamed. Under the blows of chance, my head is bloody, but firm,” he continued.
Although the famous has omitted details about the severity of his injury, the American portal 'Deadline' reported that the production of the film “Highlander”, which was in its first months of making at the time of the incident, has been delayed until early 2026.
In this remake of the 1986 fantasy film, Henry Cavill shares the credits with Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou and Max Zhang, to name a few.
