Is Eugenio Derbez planning the return of the P. Luche Family? This is known
The Mexican actor confessed that he does not rule out the idea of ??returning to the screens with a new version of the successful series "La Familia P. Luche"
Actor Eugenio Derbez does not rule out the possibility of bringing to the screens a new version of the popular series “La Familia P.Luche”, originally launched in 2002 and considered one of his most acclaimed comedy projects by the Mexican public to date.
It was during a question and answer dynamic that the protagonist of “No returns accepted” revealed his desire to relive the story that captivated viewers.
“Yes, I want to do a little more with the P. Luche family,” said the famous man from his social networks. And although the essence of the series would remain intact, its intention is to provide fans with a version “closer to reality.”
“I would like to make a stuffed animal version that is a little more grounded,” added the 64-year-old celebrity in his message to his Instagram digital community.
However, so far this dream has not been realized despite its attempts to reach a negotiation with the Televisa network. Added to this obstacle is the coordination of the agendas of the members of the original cast, who have repeatedly expressed their desire to be able to resume their roles.
Meanwhile, Eugenio Derbez decides to focus on the good moments experienced during the making of the show, as well as the success obtained thanks to the story. When asked about some funny anecdotes from the recordings, the Mexican humorously recalled Consuelo Duval's occurrences. “The only one who always arrived without studying and without reading them was Consuelo,” she told her followers.
The origin of “La Familia P.Luche”
The successful television series started unexpectedly and as a secondary project within the program “Derbez en Cuando”, a production in which Eugenio Derbez performed various sketches and included guest actors in each edition.
However, the originality of the plot and the fun stuffed costumes that were incorporated as the visual identity of the show made it a success with the public. As a result, it became a weekly series starting in 2002 on Televisa's Canal de las Estrellas.
The story based on a dysfunctional family made up of Ludovico, Federica, Bibi, Junior, Ludoviquito and the maid Excelsa, was broadcast from 2002 to 2012 in three seasons, totaling nearly 80 episodes.
