Del Castillo confessed that the tremor surprised her while she was sound asleep in a hotel in the Mexican capital.
“How are you all doing after the scare? I’m here in Mexico City, and what’s up with the alarm? My phone went off, I was sound asleep,” the actress recounted, describing the initial moment of confusion and uncertainty. “To be honest, it caught me kind of off guard.”
Del Castillo managed to react quickly
She revealed that, as a precaution, when she visits Mexico she always tries to stay on the ground floor to avoid risks in emergency situations like this. Despite this measure, the intensity of the event took her by surprise.
In the midst of the emergency, she managed to react quickly to find some clothes, because otherwise, “I would have run out naked.” However, she didn't have time for anything else: she left her room wearing sweatpants and a jacket, barefoot and with her hair disheveled, prioritizing her safety above all else.
“Honestly, it was really strong. I went out into the street… luckily I found some sweatpants, and I put a jacket on over them,” she explained. “But I went out barefoot and with my hair like you see it now. Honestly, what a freaking scare.”
To recover from the shock, the actress concluded her story with an immediate goal: “I'm going to eat a little bread to calm my nerves.”
