Kim Kardashian reveals she has 'low brain activity' after discovering she has an aneurysm
On the reality show 'The Kardashians', Kim Kardashian spoke about the aneurysm she suffered and revealed that it was caused by “stress”
Television star Kim Kardashian is in the news again, this time for health reasons. During an episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old businesswoman underwent a brain scan that revealed "low activity" in certain areas of her brain, a diagnosis that left her incredulous. In the episode that aired on November 27, Kardashian went to have a brain ultrasound with Scott Disick, under the supervision of renowned Dr. Daniel Amen, who had previously appeared on the show analyzing the brains of other family members, such as Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner. Although Dr. Amen confirmed that Kim is not at high risk of developing Alzheimer's and highlighted her positive attitude, he also noted a worrying finding: the frontal lobe of her brain showed less activity than normal.
According to the doctor, this could make it difficult for her to manage stress effectively, something especially relevant given that Kardashian is immersed in preparing for the demanding California bar exam.
“The front part of your brain is less active than it should be,” explained Dr. Amen. “With the frontal lobes functioning now, you would have a harder time managing stress.”
Kim’s Reaction and Her Health History
Upon this revelation, Kim Kardashian responded with disbelief: “That can’t be, I don’t accept it.” However, the Skims founder was determined to find solutions: “I have to put a plan in place to resolve this because I have some things to do this summer.”
This hasn’t been the only brain issue that has come to light recently. In a previous episode, Kim confessed to her sister Kourtney that doctors had detected a brain aneurysm, which, she was informed, “has been there for years.”
The star attributed this diagnosis to the stress generated by both her divorce from Kanye West in 2022 and the intense preparation for the bar exam.
Dr.Amen linked Kim's scan results to the "chronic stress" she experiences in her daily life. After learning the results, Kardashian contacted neurosurgeon Keith Black, who recommended further testing. According to her account, medical professionals warned her that stress is a key factor that could trigger the aneurysm to rupture.
