Ivory Coast's Olivia Yace, considered by many to be the uncrowned queen of Miss Universe, has broken her silence after her defeat
Ivory Coast's Olivia Yace, considered by many to be the uncrowned winner of the most recent Miss Universe pageant, took to her Instagram account to share her first impressions of what happened in Thailand, after finishing as fourth runner-up behind the representatives of the Philippines, Venezuela, Thailand, and Mexico.
The way in Olivia's reaction after learning of her elimination did not go unnoticed, as many shared their feelings after her outstanding performance throughout the competition, especially in the question and answer round. While she initially seemed bewildered by the judges' decision, as the hours passed, Olivia took to social media with a series of messages full of strength and empowerment. In a message written in English, French, and Spanish, the African queen accepted the outcome in Thailand and embraced what God has in store for her in the future. "Lord, I only asked you for one thing: That your will be done. I will always follow you and appreciate everything you allow, because you know what is best for me. Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the Universe," the beautiful representative from Ivory Coast posted. In addition to sharing this sentiment, which she set to the music of 'To The Moon', Olivia also reposted several of the messages of support and encouragement she received, even sharing the photos she took with Carlos Adyan and Julia Gama. Hours before those posts, the beautiful Ivorian shared another in which she expressed her deep gratitude to everyone who believed in her and what she was able to achieve as Miss Universe. "FROM IVORY COAST TO THE UNIVERSE, WE DID IT TOGETHER. I thank Almighty God and the Virgin Mary for their light, strength, and protection throughout the competition. And if we consider this result a victory? A victory of the heart. A victory of pride. A victory for the continent. I thank the Ivorian nation for all their love and support."This is a fragment from another of the thoughts he published after his painful defeat in Thailand.
