The hit Netflix series, “Emily in Paris”, continues to broaden its horizons. The streaming platform confirmed that production of the sixth season, which will begin in May, will take the cast and crew to two spectacular new destinations: Greece and Monaco. The news was reported by Variety.
The renewal of the series, starring Lily Collins, comes after the overwhelming success of its fifth season. Premiering in December 2025, this ten-episode season garnered 26.8 million views worldwide in just eleven days, according to People.
Furthermore, it ranked among the top ten most-watched series in 91 countries and reached number one in 24 of them, including France, the show's main setting.
About the new locations
Although plot details for the new season remain a secret, the chosen locations offer revealing clues. Fans of the series will recall that, in the season five finale, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), Emily's on-again, off-again love interest, sent her a postcard inviting her on a trip to Greece. This suggests that the story could pick up that plot thread. Greece and Monaco thus join an already impressive list of glamorous locations that have appeared in the series, such as Rome, Venice, Saint Tropez, and Megeve. The fifth season concluded with Emily facing a crucial decision: relax in Rome with her Italian boyfriend or return to her life in Paris. Series creator Darren Star explained to Tudum in August 2025: "This season is a story of two cities: Rome and Paris. Between the two, Emily takes love and life to another level." Furthermore, Darren Star had already hinted at his intentions for the future of the series in August 2024, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight he mentioned: "I would like the show to continue as long as we are wanted and as long as our audience is with us. I think the world keeps expanding and deepening with each season."
