In an interview with Billboard, Rauw Alejandro explained that in this album he presents a story in which he plays a character inspired by Puerto Rican immigrants in New York in the 70s.
“Now I take on this other profile of Raul, of an older boy living in New York City and recreating those times when Puerto Ricans immigrated to the city… I like to study a lot what I do, where I fit in, and I try to live it as if I were there,” he said.
