Sean “Diddy” Combs investigated for new sexual assault accusation
In October, the rapper was sentenced in New York to four years and two months in prison on two counts of transportation for prostitution
Sean “Diddy” Combs is, once again, in the eye of the storm. The Los Angeles County Sheriff confirmed that a new sexual assault allegation against the rapper is under investigation. According to the Associated Press, the allegation was recently filed and is separate from the multiple investigations and lawsuits Combs has faced in recent months. This new allegation adds to a growing history of accusations against Diddy, who is currently serving a four-year prison sentence on charges related to transportation for prostitution. In the last two years, Combs has been named in several lawsuits alleging sexual assault, physical abuse, and sex trafficking. Among the most prominent allegations is the one filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, which details alleged abuse in recent years and has caused a major stir in the public eye and media. The investigations in Los Angeles remain open, and authorities are reviewing all evidence and testimony to determine the next steps. Meanwhile, Diddy's legal representatives have repeatedly rejected the accusations, calling them unfounded. On October 3, Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced in New York to four years and two months in prison on two counts of transporting a person for the purpose of prostitution, and fined $500,000. Combs, 55, was acquitted last July of the more serious charges against him, racketeering and sex trafficking, which could have carried a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Recently, the rapper was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to Fort Dix military base in New Jersey, where he will serve his sentence.
