Shawn Mendes surprises everyone with his tour of Mexico City
The Canadian singer shared images on his social networks of his time in Teotihuacán, Roma, Condesa and Coyoacán
Mexico City was once again the scene of a surprise visit that lit up social networks. Shawn Mendes, the renowned Canadian singer-songwriter, shared on his Instagram account a series of photographs touring different emblematic points of the Mexican capital and that aroused suspicions that he may be preparing a concert.
However, at the moment the singer's team has not said anything about these rumors.

The images published by Mendes himself show part of the Mexican architecture and his passage through the pyramids of Teotihuacán. Users on social networks also located him in the Roma and Condesa neighborhoods, in addition to attributing a visit to Frida Kahlo's La Casa Azul, in Coyoacán.
During his stay, several fans managed to approach him to ask for photos, autographs, hugs and recorded greetings. In videos shared on platforms such as X, Facebook and TikTok, he is seen living with people on public roads without a visible security operation, which generated even more expectation among his followers.
The singer had already been in Mexico during the first weeks of 2026, also in the capital, and at that time similar rumors circulated that did not translate into announced performances.
Speculation also grew because his trip coincides with a reactivation stage in his career. Even so, the only verifiable data for now is the visit itself and the public activity he shared with his followers.
The singer gained fame in 2013 thanks to Vine, the platform on which he shared covers of songs. That first digital impulse later led him to a recording career of international reach.
His formal debut came with “Handwritten” in 2015, an album that reached a prominent place on the Billboard 200 list. He then consolidated his career with albums such as “Illuminate” and “Wonder.”
