Snoop Dogg's daughter Cori Broadus announces the death of her baby
Little Codi, Snoop Dogg's granddaughter, had arrived home in early January after battling in the neonatal intensive care unit
Cori Broadus, the only child of iconic rapper Snoop Dogg, is going through a time of deep sadness. At 26 years old, she announced this Saturday, January 31, through her Instagram stories, the death of her baby daughter, Codi Dreaux, born prematurely at 25 weeks gestation.
“On Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” Cori wrote over a touching black and white photograph where she appears smiling while holding her baby, accompanying the message with an angel wing emoji.
Little Codi had come home in early January, after a ten-month struggle in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
The birth of the girl, announced by her mother in February 2025, was marked by complications. Cori revealed that she gave birth via emergency cesarean section after being diagnosed with HELLP syndrome, a serious pregnancy condition that affects the blood and liver. At that time, she expressed her faith and gratitude: "My baby arrived today at 25 weeks and is as perfect as ever. Thank you, God, for allowing me to get this far, despite the adversities." Cori's fiance and the baby's father, Wayne Deuce, also shared their grief on social media. "I have been so sad since you left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know you are at peace. Daddy will always love you," he posted alongside a tender image of himself holding his daughter. High-Risk Pregnancy The news comes after a pregnancy that Cori herself described as high-risk, announced in December 2024. Despite the medical prognosis, the young mother remained hopeful, telling media outlets such as E! News that “God has his hands on me.”
Family and followers of Cori Broadus, who has been open about her personal battles with lupus and depression, are now offering her support in this new and devastating loss.
