Sofía Castro responds to divorce rumors with Pablo Bernot
Looking ahead to her second wedding anniversary, Mexican actress spoke out about speculation about separation with the businessman
In the midst of a work period full of achievements with the upcoming premiere of her first project as the protagonist, actress Sofía Castro has decided not to let speculation about an alleged marital crisis with businessman Pablo Bernot continue to grow.
During a meeting with the press held in Mexico City, the star of stories like “El Dragón” and “Vino el Amor” opened up about the wave of rumors that claim that divorce would be knocking on his door.
In contrast to the reports, Sofía Castro stated that her relationship with Bernot is going from strength to strength ahead of their second wedding anniversary. "It's been almost two years, how quickly time goes by. I'm very happy, very happy, very in love," said the famous 29-year-old.
In addition, he explained that like all marriages, they have faced several challenges. In her case, it has been the distance that her profession as an actress makes her live in each filming period.
"We have a relationship with a lot of communication, very beautiful. Obviously it is a slightly different marriage, not so traditional due to the issue of distance sometimes with my work, but we have always tried to have all the communication and all the love and being together," he said, referring to his current residence in Arizona, on the occasion of the recordings of the soap opera "Land of Love and Courage."
Under this same situation, Sofía Castro regretted that there is a negative narrative around her marriage, despite keeping that part of her life away from the spotlight: “It's ugly that people don't like to see you happy,” she said.
Likewise, he added: "When they see someone happy, when they see someone stable, they always look for a way to find that 'yes I'm going to get divorced, if not I'm going to get divorced', to find the bad side."
The daughter of José Alberto “El Güero” Castro and Angélica Rivera ended her talk with the media by emphasizing that both she and her husband prefer to ignore the back and forth.
"That's also why I try to keep a lot on the sidelines, not because I don't want to say anything, but out of respect for him as well and for my marriage, as it is something very much ours (...) But we are very happy and when he is happy he accompanies me and we are really very good. I'm not going to get divorced, no nothing, stop everything," he asked before the microphones.
