Amid this controversy, several public figures have expressed their opinions, with Yolanda Andrade being one of the most recent to speak out. The television host, who recently returned to her television work after recovering from a serious health issue, didn't hesitate to show her support for Maribel Guardia during a press conference. "What she's going through is very tiring, very tiring. And I truly respect her because it's something so personal that it's blown out of proportion, so unpleasant, and what's more, how frightening that you've treated someone well in your own home and then they betray you. That's what I'm saying," she expressed, visibly affected. Andrade also joined the request that the Costa Rican actress made through her social media: to respect the memory of her son, the late singer Julian Figueroa.

“I think it’s right that we all join in leaving her in peace, respecting her. It’s a terrible pain for a mother to feel, and to see your child hurt, it makes me very sad. We should all join in,” she added.

No advice for Imelda

Despite her close relationship with Guardia, the host avoided giving any opinion about Imelda Tunon. When reporters asked her to offer advice to the actress’s daughter-in-law, Andrade was blunt: “I don’t give advice, and I don’t know her. It’s not worth going around advising people.”

The origin of this controversy dates back to early 2025, when Maribel Guardia obtained temporary custody of her grandson. However, the case took a turn approximately a month later, when, after a review requested by Imelda Tunon, the child returned to his mother.

From then on, the dispute escalated with serious accusations flying back and forth. Maribel Guardia accused Tunon of allegedly using harmful substances, while her daughter-in-law revealed supposed family conflicts.accusing Marco Chacon, the actress's husband, of alleged infidelity and of supplying substances to Julian Figueroa.

The scandal intensified with the leak of an audio recording where Tunon accused Jose Manuel Figueroa of alleged sexual abuse against Julian, which led to a defamation lawsuit filed by the singer.
