Taking an important decision in the meeting of Panch Singh Sahiban at Shri Akal Takht Sahib, there has been a complete ban on performing Anand Karaj (marriage) on destination wedding. Said that this is against Sikh dignity. Now no person will be able to celebrate the marriage of any of his family members by taking the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib to any beach or any other wedding destination. Whereas there is already a ban on taking the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib to the Marriage Palace and enjoying there.

The decision has been taken after separate complaints in this regard. Apart from many sectarian issues, important decisions were also taken on controversial matters in the meeting of Panch Singh Sahib held at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Which includes the same-sex marriage of two girls in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Gurudwara Kalgidhar Sahib, Canal Colony, Multaniyan Road, Bathinda.

On the complaints received in the Bathinda case, Panch Singh Sahib has decided that the Gurdwara Management Committee is declared incapable of running the management forever. This committee will not run the management of any Gurdwara Sahib in future. The Sangat there should soon elect a new Amritdhari Management Committee. In this case, accused Chief Granthi Hardev Singh, Granthi Ajaib Singh, Ragi Sikandar Singh, Tabla player Satnam Singh are blacklisted for five years for violating the Sikh Relief Code. They will not perform any kind of religious duty in any Gurdwara Sahib and religious events.

While considering another matter, Singh Sahib accused Jagjit Singh (nominated member) of Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Indore, Madhya Pradesh for disrupting the election process of Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha (Indore) on the orders of Shri Akal Takht Sahib Ji. As alleged, it has been ordered that he has not appeared at Sri Akal Takht Sahib even though he was called to present his case. But he did not appear every time due to negligence. Keeping him as the main one, he is dismissed from the membership of the Managing Committee and ordered the Sangat not to withdraw the cases pending in the court related to Gurudwara elections until Jagjit Singh withdraws his presence at Shri Akal Takht Sahib and does not correct his mistake. Until he accepts and suffers religious punishment, he should not be treated with any kind of respect nor should he be given any kind of respect.

In another case, repeated summons were sent to the Gurdwara management of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Myani Road, Dasuha District, Hoshiarpur. Despite this, the people of the committee did not attend Sri Akal Takht Sahib. On this, Panj Singh Sahibs have declared Gurdwara Management Committee Chairman Paramjit Singh, Vice Chairman Joginder Singh and Secretary Kamalpreet Singh incapable of running the management of Gurdwara Sahib. An order was issued to all the Sangats not to have any kind of relationship with him.

Similarly, in the case of Baba Darshan Singh Gumtale, the Panj Singh Sahibs decided that this person should stand in front of the Sangat at Sri Akal Takht Sahib in the presence of the Panj Singh Sahibs, confess his mistakes and seek forgiveness from the Guru Panth. Unless the accused apologizes in front of Shri Akal Takht Sahib in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib and Sangat and Panj Singh Sahib, he is not authorized to do Katha-Kirtan, nor should the Sangat face him nor should anyone interact with him. Some kind of relationship should be maintained.

If in any way he comes forward while reciting Katha-Kirtan, strict action will be taken against him as per rules. The accused are not even authorized to light Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at their places. In the meeting of Panch Singh Sahiban held at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on Monday, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Sultan Singh, Granthi Giani of Sri Harmandir Sahib. Gurminder Singh and Bhai Ram Singh from Takht Sri Hazur Sahib participated. Ever since Giani Raghbir Singh became the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht, this is the first meeting held under his chairmanship.
